Just Added: G’day, this site is free for all, and we’re going to keep it this way ey, no worries. Just found out about an organization called www.kiva.org . They lend (that’s Lend, not donate) money to people that otherwise could not finance their small business, home, etc in, lets just say, under developed countries. You can lend money to specific (see their site) people in bits, say $25usd. They will re pay you in the future when they can. Hey, it’s a good thing to do something for others ey. cheers.
G’day future musos of the world. Welcome to my site. This was inspired by your response to my instructional videos on You Tube.
I made these originally for my nephew who lives some 12000 miles away and asked me to show him how to play.
There’s no reason why almost anyone shouldn’t be able to play these simple songs, so I thought I’d shere them with you.
First off, you have half the battle won, you’re already familiar with the songs, so the lyrics and the melodies should be familiar.
This site is for beginners, so if you’re looking for slick “Slash style” riffs, sorry.
Im trying to stick with the most rudementary (simple) songs at first so nobody gets disgurraged.
If anyone has any requests, please let me know and I’ll put those ahead of the list. rayred7@hotmail.com
Keep rockin’ lads!!
Just added: The Numbers in front of the titles indicate DIFFICULTY LEVEL
1 ; EASY 2 : MODERATE 3 : “This Will Take A While”
If you are an absolute beginner, please go to the “1″s first. Cheers.

THIS IS A RESPONSE TO AN EMAIL I RECIEVED:
Guitars:Most of the lessons are done on a cheap ($300) CORT Guitar. this is the one I carry to the beach etc. I use this for most lessons because most new players would be using the same quality guitar, and to show that you dont have to spend $1000+ to geta good sound.
Occasionally you’ll see me using a RAINSONG carbor fibre guitar. Its so good, just got it last year in New York.veryLight, and the action is perfect.
this is the Black / grey one
The black one from (I think Wish You Were Here) is a MATON 808, made in Australia. Very powerfull soundand outstanding specs.
I also use a MARTIN D18, which has the same atributes of the others.
Singing lessons: Im just starting a book of performance for beginners.
(Hopefully it sells as well as my new CD
http://www.rayred.com/guitar-lessons/ray-reds-touching-indians-cd-now-available-video-and-details/
as my new CD)
I prefer to consider my singing as ‘capable’. Basically, you have to find the songs that work for you etc, or change the key of the songs to accommodate your voice.
I dont try to polish the voice in the lessons as this is a guitar lessons, not a singing lesson. Also I feel that if i made slick over produced voice etc, this may alienate some potential players. Ever go into a music shop as a beginner, looking at an instrument and have some hotshot salesman start ripping some killer riffs when all you know is maybe a few basic chords? Im now trying to show you that I can play, Im trying to show you that YOU can play.
Live: when i play live, (see the live clips)I always tune down by 1/2 step. This is a common practice even among professionals. say i have a hard time hitting a note,1/2 step down makes it easier, and no one notices this subtle adjustment.
